Ezekiel 16:23-24
“What sorrow awaits you, says the Sovereign LORD. In addition to all your other wickedness, you built a pagan shrine and put altars to idols in every town square. This ministry is designed for the purpose of putting God back into the heart of town squares all across America and around the world. Every week day, a few of us go and pray at our town square for God to help our city, our state, and our nation. We need to be praying more and more in our town squares. The days ahead are going to become harder if we don’t seek after God and put Him first in our lives.
In this chapter, we need to remember to not be like the Israelites, who defiled God’s holy temple and their own town squares. They were even sacrificing their own children to pagan gods. The Philistines were even ashamed to hear of such a thing. God had to remove Himself from the temple because of their idolatry, so He scattered the people and allowed destruction on the land.
We have to be careful to not get so caught up in life’s pleasures and temptations. Having little sometimes is a blessing in disguise, because it won’t cause you to buy things that you don’t need. Learn to live with little and appreciate when you have much. Be thankful to God for everything He has given you. Learn to be content and put Him first in your life.
Dear Father, please help me to become content with the things I have. Thank you for providing for me today. Thank you for giving me what I need. Help me to be more like you and help me to not fall into temptation today. In Jesus name, Amen!
