For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Have you ever gone without a leader at a job, a church, or a school? We love having leaders. When we don’t have a leader, we feel uncertain about the future. We love it when we have leaders that encourage and lead the charge. When we have leaders that are negative and controlling, we will feel more discouraged and frustrated. It’s hard sometimes to follow the leader. It’s hard to want to speak up about something that’s not right and could cost you your job. Fortunately, we have the best leader there is. When we follow God, He will lead us to do great things.
God allowed safety and guidance to Jeremiah. Jeremiah stayed faithful to the calling on his life. Whenever we feel like there’s no way to move ahead or there’s no way we could get out of a certain situation, trust God to get you through it. Just like Jeremiah, God has good plans for you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
Maybe last year didn’t end so well for you. Maybe there are some things you want to change and improve on. Whatever it may be, God will lead you into your destiny when you trust Him wholeheartedly. That means we praise God in the good times and in the bad. We aren’t promised a life from pain, suffering, or hardship, but we are promised that God will see us through whatever we will face.
