God's Glory At Work

Ezekiel 40:4
He said to me, “Son of man, watch and listen. Pay close attention to everything I show you. You have been brought here so I can show you many things. Then you will return to the people of Israel and tell them everything you have seen.”

The temple mount is considered the most sacred place of worship for the Jews. One day the temple will be rebuilt according to Ezekiel 40-43. This vision the Lord showed Ezekiel gave hope for the Israelites after the temple had been destroyed. Many have tried to figure out what this vision means.

Some say this was the temple Zerrubable should have built, but fell short due to disobedience. Some say this is symbolic of true worship of God by Christian churches right now. Some say this will be the temple that will be built during the millennial reign of Christ. Some say this temple is symbolic of the future and eternal reign of God when his presence and blessing fill the earth.

Whatever the case may be, this is a vision that clearly shows God’s glory at work. God wanted Ezekiel to pay close attention and tell the people what he saw so they could understand. God wanted them to see the great splendor that He had planned for those that believed in Him. I would challenge you to read this vision and let it lift you and teach you about the God you worship and serve today. One day we will be filled with God’s presence and glory. One day we will experience every wonderful thing He has in store for us for eternity.

Dear Jesus, thank you for your awesome presence in my life today. Thank you for your love and mercy that you show me everyday. I pray this vision will lift me up and keep me focused on eternal things above. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
