Call On His Name

Joel 2:32

But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the LORD has said. These will be among the survivors whom the LORD has called.

Joel is another great book of the Bible showing the awesome greatness of God. In chapter 2, we see God still willing to show mercy and compassion on His people. After all His people did against Him, God was still willing to forgive them and give them His blessing if they repented and turned back to Him.

Can we ever understand why God chooses to forgive and love us when we fail Him so many times throughout the day? I don’t think we are supposed to answer that question. Only God can answer that question and He does through His love. Whenever you feel convicted or feel shame for something you did wrong, don’t let it consume you and your thoughts. Ask God to forgive you and move past it so you can find victory in His love today. For anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!

Dear Jesus, I pray to receive your unfailing love in my life today. Even though I make mistakes, I will not let them consume my thoughts and bring me down today. I pray that I will move forward and not backwards today. I pray for your blessings today in Jesus’ name, Amen!
