Reaching the Summit

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Jesus was praying to his Father and then said these verses. Jesus was saying for us to look to him for refuge. Jesus offers us hope and salvation to anyone who will accept him as Lord. What a wonderful promise to know that Jesus will accept us when we repent and turn from our sin and give us peace and rest.

We will all face uncertainty and difficult situations. Our faith and hope in the Lord will be the only thing that will help us get through those tough times. When we will go through trials and tribulations, we have to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Don’t act like there’s a big mountain blocking your way. If you look at it as one step at a time, eventually you will reach the summit.

There will be times when we will finally reach the summit of our obstacles. Most the time, we will be climbing and struggling to get there. But if we keep our eyes on Jesus, then we will have no fear and will overcome anything we will face. Remember, God sees and knows our situation and won’t give us something we can’t handle. Why is that? Because when we place our trust in Him, He will handle it for us. All we have to do is look forward and keep lifting our eyes to Him.

Dear Jesus, thank you for your awesome and perfect love. Thank you for being my refuge and strength. Help me to fix my eyes on you no matter what the situation. Restore to me my salvation today and help me to find peace and rest in you today! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
