Love More

Hosea 10:12

I said, “Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.”

Would you say that you love easily? Are you a person that is about loving people no matter what they’ve been through? Jesus was all about loving people. In fact, His love for the world came right out of Him. People would touch Him and they would be healed and changed forever by His love and compassion.

If we want to love people more, we have to learn how Jesus loved. God loves us so much and wants us to share in His love. Jesus always showed compassion for others. People like the Pharisees that thought they were righteous were in fact, the ones that were so far from God. Their hearts had become so hard that they couldn’t love. As this scripture says, we need to plow up the hard ground of our hearts and allow God to shower righteousness upon us.

We all have something we struggle with and have a hard time letting go sometimes. If we learn to let God deal with our hearts, we will begin to experience His love like never before. Allow God to have the opportunity to show you His righteousness today. Let Him give you a heart that loves more and does more for others. Learn to let go of whatever it is you are holding onto and see how God will make it better.

Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me despite all my mistakes. Help me to live righteously today and give me opportunities to love others more. Help me to receive your unfailing love and allow me to see your love in new ways today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
