A Thankful Heart

Hosea 13:4
"I have been the LORD your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior.

In Hosea’s day the people had become self-sufficient. They didn’t need God anymore and lived however they wanted too. They knew God, but they didn’t worship Him and thank Him for the blessings that God gave them. Many say they know God, but few live for Him.

Always remember to thank God daily for the blessings of life. Thank Him for having a place to live, fresh and clean water, food to eat, and clothes to wear. These things we can easily take for granted and forget who provided them. We should always live with thanksgiving in our hearts for what the Lord has done in our lives.

Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me and providing for my needs today. Help me to be thankful at all times and not become so absorbed with things that I forget where the blessings come from. In Jesus, name, Amen!
