Worship Him Alone!

Zechariah 14:9
And the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one LORD—his name alone will be worshiped.

Jerusalem will one day be the focal point of the entire world’s worship to God. One day the mountains will fall and tremble. All the mountains that God created will be flattened and the Mount of Olives will be the highest place on the earth. God desires us to worship Him alone. The Bible says, He inhabits the praises of His people.

Many of us have gone to secular concerts or watched one on television. Many of us have been to a football game or watched one on television. For many, this is their worship. One thing is for sure, people want to worship someone or something. Unfortunately, many of us worship the wrong things in life. We make for ourselves idols and devote our lives to it. We seldom see God for who He is really is and forget about how awesome and how fearful we should be of Him.

The Bible also says, one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. The question is, will you make Him Lord of your life while you’re here on earth or will you wait till it’s too late? Remember, God loves us so much and died willingly in our place so we can accept Him as Lord and Savior of our lives. If you have been a Christian for a long time or just for a little while, learn to develop a lifestyle of worship. Worship is what God desires us to do daily. Find ways to worship Him and give Him the praise and honor He deserves today.

Dear Jesus, today I just want to worship you for who you are. Thank you for taking my place and dying for my sins. Thank you that I can come boldly to your throne and worship you. Help me be a sacrifice of worship for your great name! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
