Supernatural Strength

Matthew 19:26

26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible

Did you ever grow up watching superheroes as a child? I can remember growing up to Batman and Superman. They all show some kind of super human strength that ordinary people don’t have. They would usually fight against the bad guys and win in the end.

We like to see the good guys win don’t we? We love to watch really great action movies and sit in amazement of what will happen next. What Jesus was trying to tell us in this verse is simple; we need to rely on God’s supernatural strength. With God everything is possible. But you have to have faith and believe that or nothing will happen. God wants us to pray and seek after him. He wants us to go to him for everything.

Like all these superheroes that want to do good and help people, God wants to do the same in our lives. The only difference is God is real. Maybe you need to ask God to move some mountains in your life today. Maybe you need to pray for more strength and power. Whatever it is, God will answer your prayers and give you what he feels is best for your life.

Dear Jesus, thank you for who you are. Thank you for giving me your love and mercy. Help me to have strength and power to accomplish what you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
