Respond To God's Call

Haggai 1:13

Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, gave this message of the LORD to the people: “I am with you,” declares the LORD.

In the book of Haggai, the people were called to rebuild the temple. The people were living luxurious lives while forsaking the rebuilding of the temple. After God told Haggai and His people to rebuild the temple, they immediately responded within weeks of him telling them. God started to stir up His Spirit inside the leaders of the nation and the people began to work on the temple.

When you stay faithful to God’s calling on your life, you will begin to see God’s Spirit move throughout the land. When you lead worship, preach a sermon, teach Sunday school, go door to door, God’s Spirit is moving throughout the people and wants them to receive Him as Lord. Whatever God has called you to do, stay faithful to Him and remain on the offense to work for Him.

God says he will be with you when we follow after Him. No matter what happens, remain true to God’s calling and watch God move in a way you never thought possible. If God calls you to do something that is small, be faithful. If God calls you to do something big, be faithful. God calls all of us to do different things, but they all are for the same purpose. Continue to reach people where they are and continue to love them no matter what they do to you.

Dear Jesus, help me to respond to your calling on my life. Give me the wisdom and the strength to be faithful in all I do for your glory. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your plan. Help me to love and forgive people no matter what they do to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
