Overcoming Fear

Micah 3:8

But as for me, I am filled with power with the Spirit of the LORD.

What are some things you are afraid of? Some of us are afraid of spiders and snakes. Some of us are afraid of heights. Whatever it may be, we don’t have to be afraid of anything when we have the power of the Holy Spirit inside of us. Jesus said that He would trample the serpents’ head under our feet. Whatever fear you are facing isn’t from God, it’s from the evil one.

Satan wants to keep us from reaching our destiny. God has ordained and planned out our lives from beginning to end. He knows all the setbacks and road blocks we will face. He knows all the joys and victories we will experience when we honor Him with our lives. What we have to realize is God wants the very best for us. He wants us to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit so we can accomplish His plan here on earth.

Micah said he was filled with power from the Spirit of the Lord during a very trying time in his life. We will all have trying times and setbacks, but don’t let your fear of not knowing the outcome keep you from God’s plan. Everyday you have to get up and say this is a new day and a fresh start. It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday. You have to say to yourself, I will strive to be the best I can be today and live in a way that honors and pleases God. The Bible says, I will fear no evil, for my God is with me.  When you live with power from the Holy Spirit daily, you will overcome any evil that will come your way.  

Dear Jesus, help to live with power from the Holy Spirit. Help me to live out everyday for your ways. Give me the boldness to overcome any fear in my life today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
